Calcined Petroleum Coke is a carbonaceous solid derived from oil
refinery coker units or other cracking processes.
Calcined petroleum coke is a black or dark gray hard solid
petroleum product with metallic luster and porosity. It is a
carbonaceous material composed of fine graphite crystals in the
form of particles, columns or needles. The petroleum coke component
is a hydrocarbon containing 90-97% carbon, 1.5-8% hydrogen, and
nitrogen, chlorine, sulfur and heavy metal compounds. Calcined
Petroleum Coke is a carbonaceous solid derived from oil refinery
coker units or other cracking processes.The production of petroleum
coke is about 25-30% of the feedstock oil. The low calorific value
is about 1.5-2 times of coal, the ash content is not more than
0.5%, the volatile matter is about 11%, and the quality is close to

Calcined Petroleum Coke is a critical ingredient in the production
of Metallurgy and chemical industrial ,it can increase the used
quantity of Scrap steel and reduce the quantity of Scrap iron, or
use no Scrap iron at all, the calcined petroleum coke has follow
properties: high absorptive character, no residue will be left and
save production cost.
1. Usage: calcined petroleum coke is used to improve the Carbon
content in steel-melting and Ductile iron foundryFast absorption speed: it's easily dissolve in the molten iron.
2. Characteristic:high carbon, low sulfur, with stable effect for
improving the carbon content, high absorptive of carbon.
3. Application:calcined petroleum coke is used in electric furnace
steel smelting and cast-iron for improving the carbon content

it can reduce the iron liquid contraction tendency and improve
the mechanical properties of casting.
(7). It may increase the dosage of scrap steel and reduce the
demand of pig-iron or even without adding pig iron. It may well
effectively avoid the heredity of pig iron to affect the casting.

temperature-lifting effect: There is no return slag. It can
protect and lengthen the furnace life and reduce the consumption of
the furnace lining.
